Now that he has evolved into one of the most dangerous hitters in the league, there is no stopping this modern-day Superman. His maturity has instilled in him patience and savvy both at the plate and on the bases. Of course, he still possesses that supernatural power which is his claim to fame as evidenced by this game used black 1999 Adirondack 170B: Filled with ball marks left all the way around the sweet spot. Handle is cracked in two spots, the more serious crack is held together by Sammy’s grip tape. Knob is stamped with “170B 390 99” and has Sammy’s #21 written in silver marker. His staple Fila size 12’s show strong use. Both embroidered with “SS 21” in blue. A great start to any Sosa collection, and he surely will have many career highlights yet to come.
