Astonishing award from the collection of Islanders idol Bryan Trottier. This silver plate on wood plaque was presented to Bryan at the 1979 National Hockey League Awards ceremony as he was chosen as the most valuable player in the league during the regular season. Silver plaque at the base reads “Dr. David A. Hart Trophy, Winner, 1978-79, Bryan Trottier, New York Islanders”. Originally offered along with other items from Trottier’s collection in a 1999 Beckett auction, with their Certificate of Authenticity. A rare and wonderful personal award. In excellent condition.
