It was the year of Joe D and the New York Yankees, who performed a four game sweep of the Cincinnati Reds in the Fall Classic. Special keepsake from that World Series is a white pin with baseball design which delicately displays the words, “World Series New York Yankees vs Cincinnati Reds 1939”. Lettering and design are nearly perfect! 1.25” pin is Excellent (only slight tarnishing to back). Red white & blue ribbons hang below. The red ribbon with “Souvenir – 1939 World Series Cincinnati ‘Reds’ vs New York ‘Yankees’” in gold lettering (completely intact and only slightly off-color from age). Ribbons are VG-EX.
