ITEM DESCRIPTION

||||||||||||
This gigantic life-size Indian is a wooden display piece created by the Carl Thelin Company for the 1957 World Series and was hung in Milwaukee during and after the World Championship. A memorable fall classic in Milwaukee, it was the Braves first title since the “Miracle Braves” of 1914. Smiling Indian sits atop the globe and sign is underlined by a large, “WELCOME” to the visiting Yankees and fans. Wooden sign is 1/3” thick. Three pinholes across the middle from being mounted, but paint is otherwise almost completely intact (a few scratches throughout). Stands approx. 6 feet tall. Displays nicely.
