Lot 729: Yankee Stadium Letter “N” (48” high)
ITEM DESCRIPTION

From the day the doors swung open in 1923 til the park’s renovation in the mid-70’s, this letter “N” played its part in spelling the name of the world’s most famous sports venue. Black paint has weathered and chipped in places to reveal the blue oxidized copper underneath. One end of the letter is a bit mangled, but only adds to its charm. A thrilling and fascinating piece of the game’s most sacred ground. Came directly from the demolition company that worked on the Stadium during the renovations.
