From Sid & Marty Kroft, puppet is Donny from the Donny and Marie Show and was used in musical dance numbers in the 1977-78 season. Sid & Marty Kroft of course were the royalty of puppeteers and character creation. Puppet is a caricature of Donny, with the big teeth and mouth and eyes, pretty features of the teenager. Dressed in a 1970s mod outfit with hot pink and lilac satin body suit and vest. This splendid creation was built and operated by Master Puppeteer, Pady Blackwood. If you lift the left pant leg of the marionette, you will see that Pady had Donnie signed the calf. Measures 29”. EX.
