For the only time in Rose Bowl history, the game was played on the east coast in Durham, N.C. Just a few short weeks earlier the first ever attack on American soil took place as fire rained down from the skies and onto Pearl Harbor. The Rose Bowl was not to be cancelled, but it would not be played in Pasedena, Ca., an irresistible target for another attack. Full Rose Bowl ticket (2.5x5.5”) adorned with a yellow rose in the middle of a dollar-bill like design is beautifully Mint. Sold ahead of time, the ticket still reads “Pasadena Rose Bowl New Year’s Day Jan 1 2pm”.
