Ultra Rare 1964 Beatles Signed First World Tour Postcard with Jimmie Nicol (PSA)

Ultra Rare 1964 Beatles Signed First World Tour Postcard with Jimmie Nicol (PSA)

This is not your average Beatles group signed item, rather one that was signed on an exact date during the Beatles first world tour in 1964. What makes this piece special is the fact that it was signed by Jimmie Nicol, who was only a Beatle for two weeks. The story starts on June 3rd, 1964, the day before the Beatles first World Tour, with Ringo Starr collapsing with tonsillitis and being admitted into the hospital. Brian Epstein and George Martin quickly scrambled to find a replacement drummer and ultimately found Jimmie Nicol. Nicol ended up playing 8 concerts in the next 10 days, then Ringo came back and Nicol's stint with the Beatles was over. Signed by John Lennon (back and front), Paul McCartney, George Harrison and very rare Jimmie Nicol. Back of the postcard is dated "Amsterdam 1964" and the Beatles only played in Amsterdam on June 6th. This was signed on that date, June 6th, 1964. Signed in blue ballpoint pen with strong Lennon signature on back and is authenticated by PSA.
