Spectacular Roberto Clemente Single Signed Baseball

Spectacular Roberto Clemente Single Signed Baseball

A somewhat unusual offering, this Eastern Airlines baseball has been signed by Roberto Clemente (9/10) in green ink across the sweet spot. Stamped "Haiti" for its place of manufacture, the ball is nicely toned with minor areas of discoloration, otherwise in Excellent condition. This ball was signed in July of 1972, Clemente's final season, in Williamsport, PA, during the Little League World Series. The irony associated with this amazing baseball is readily apparent to any baseball aficionado, as Roberto Clemente would be killed in an airplane crash on New Year's Eve in 1972 while flying relief supplies to Nicaraguan earthquake victims. An extremely rare single signed baseball from one of the most talented and beloved players of the last half century.
