Single Signed Baseballs with Rarities (Most From Jim Armstrong)

Single Signed Baseballs with Rarities (Most From Jim Armstrong)

A total of 21 signed official American and National League baseballs - many of which are some very rare singles - make up this tremendous lot, 75% of which are from the Jim Armstrong collection. The most important are Wally Shang (d. 1965), George Burns (d. 1978, 1926 AL MVP), Oral Hildebrand (d. 1977), Joe Haynes (d. 1967), Orval Grove (d. 1992), Luke Appling (d. 1991, HOF), Thomas McMillan (d. 1966), Hank Majeski (d. 1991), Bob Porterfield (d. 1980), Bob "Dusty" Rhoads (d. 1967, No-Hitter 1908), Gene Beardon (d. 2004), Lou Fiene (d. 1964) and Jocko Conlan (d. 1989, HOF). Some of these are the first of their kind that we have ever encountered. The average condition of the baseballs is VG-EX, mostly because of a coating that has toned them. The signatures are strong and average 7/10 with some players adding their teams or stats.
