Sammy Davis Jr. Autograph Album with Suzan Ball

Sammy Davis Jr. Autograph Album with Suzan Ball

From the estate of one of America's greatest entertainers, many of the autographs are personalized to Sammy with flowing tributes. There are 37 signed photographs in all and many of the women are amazing art deco glamour shots, all are on incredible publicity shots: Tony Curtis/Janet Leigh plus both solo, the best Frank Sinatra ever, Liz Taylor, Lili St. Cyr, Jimmy Dorsey, Piper Laurie, Lena Horne (gorgeous silhouette), Marilyn Maxwell, Bethe Douglas, Alice Ghostly, stripper Marie Wilson, Ann Blyth, Dinah Shore, Johnnie Ray, Billy Eckstine, early Nat King Cole Trio, Red Buttons, Frankie Laine, Piper Laurie, Lori Nelson, three Jeff Chandler (one "greatest goddamn talent period!" another as Native American), Robert Alda, Barry Sullivan, and a couple of others we cannot identify. Rarest of all is signed photo of Lucille Ball's second cousin actress Suzan Ball who died tragically from cancer at 21. Our favorite is a masked (!) woman signed, "Sammy, There were more people like you, there would be fewer of me. Love, Lonesome Gal" (signed with her stripper name alone). Many are taped at edges and loose, and there are a few photos of Sammy himself, one with Janet Leigh. Also comes with a large group of orchestral arrangements with Sammy Davis' name on them.
