Rachel Alexandra Race Worn Woodward Stakes Horseshoe

Rachel Alexandra Race Worn Woodward Stakes Horseshoe

One of the most memorable races in Saratoga's 152-years was the 2009 Woodward Stakes. Three-year old phenom Rachel Alexandra tested the upper echelon for the first time in a heart pounding, thrilling stretch drive with announcer Tom Durkin crying, “Rachel did it! She is indeed Rachel Alexandra THE GREAT!” First female in 56 years to win the Woodward, perfect 8-for-8 season, Horse of the Year, and the greatest season by any three-year old filly in history. She earned over $3,500,000 and is likely the most valuable broodmare in the country. Mounted onto cherry basswood plaque with lock of tail hair, brass nameplate and 8x10 of her winning the race. LOA from her track handler included.
