New York Giants 1957 Last Game at The Polo Grounds Program & Newspaper

New York Giants 1957 Last Game at The Polo Grounds Program & Newspaper

On Sunday, September 29, 1957, the Pittsburgh Pirates handed the New York Giants a resounding 9-1 defeat, putting the final nail in a rather disappointing season for the Giants. It would also mark the final game for the Giants at the historic Polo Ground. Take home a piece of this game with this rare, scored and notated program which includes stats from Giants history and small snippets on then-current Giants Willie Mays and Johnny Antonelli. An emotional goodbye to their home of 68 years captured in the copy of the "Daily News" which accompanies the program, detailing the "Giant's Wake." In EX+ condition, both the program and the newspaper show their age, lending a feeling of grace and antiquity to this rare gem.
