Meadow Stables Worn Blinders - Secretariat's Style

Meadow Stables Worn Blinders - Secretariat's Style

Keep an eye on this find. Horse blinders sourcing from Meadow Stables, the home to many famous horses, including 1973 Triple Crown winning, record -shattering, Secretariat. Meadow Stables was founded in 1805 by an ancestor of Penny Chenery, Secretariat's owner. These cannot be confirmed to be worn by Secretariat, but the blue and white checkered pattern is very similar. Another horse that stayed at this farm, Riva Rodge, wore a similar style. These blinders were no prop, but a daily part of a top-tier stable, so great heavy use is shown: Small stains, minor tears, loose threads, small cloth areas missing. Vordemberge Saddlery Inc, Maryland tag inside.
