Large Collection of Sports Pubs Including First Sports Illustrated & Super Bowl III Program

Large Collection of Sports Pubs Including First Sports Illustrated & Super Bowl III Program

This treasure trove of 29 publications includes some true gems. Football historians will enjoy the program from Super Bowl III, in which Joe Namath's upstart New York Jets upset the mighty Baltimore Colts and laid the groundwork for the NFL as we know it. Perhaps the centerpiece of this lot is the very first edition of Sports Illustrated, dated August 16, 1954 and including a fold-out of Topps Baseball Cards featuring the likes of Willie Mays, Duke Snyder, and Ted Williams (some yellowing but in VG-EX condition). The first 10 issues of the biggest name in sports publications are contained herein, all individually stored in plastic with board backing and all in VG-EX condition. Also contains pubs from the early 1900s. Too much to list, an amazing assortment!
