Harmon Killebrew Autographed Game Used First Baseman's Glove

Harmon Killebrew Autographed Game Used First Baseman's Glove

Hall of Famer and 11-time American League All Star Harmon Killebrew has inscribed this glove as follows: "I played 1st base with this glove 1962, 63, 64, 65, 66, 67 Harmon Killebrew." The inscription appears in black Sharpie on the outside of the glove, and is an understatement as this first baseman's glove is pounded with use to the point that the labeling has worn off. "Killebrew" is written all over the glove, and the number "3" is written on the back of the thumb. Killebrew was a Wilson endorser who liked Rawlings gloves and used this unmistakable Rawlings DCT model mitt with the open laced arc on the backside (Wilson never made this style). A 1965 (World Series year) photo shows that the Rawlings patch was removed from the back to keep on the good side of Wilson. A full color picture of an older Killebrew wearing the glove after his playing days was inscribed to the owner of the time, "How do you like my 'old' glove? Best Wishes, Harmon Killebrew". Great collectible with impeccable documentation from a baseball icon. Other wire photos from the 1962-1967 season are included with the LOA.
