Great 1920 Phillies Photo with "Giant Cowboy"
Not even a guy in a cowboy suit standing on stilts could muster many smiles in this rare 1920 Philadelphia Phillies team photo which includes the inimitable Casey Stengel at the far left. Perhaps playing for a perpetual cellar-dwelling club had something to do with the frowns. For the record, the man towering above is pitcher Al Demaree. Another notable is Cy Williams, baseball's pre-Babe Ruth home run king. 6 x 11" with minor damage. EX.
