Circa 1951 Bettie Page Unpublished Camera Club Photos & Original Negatives (Possibly by Cass Carr)

Circa 1951 Bettie Page Unpublished Camera Club Photos & Original Negatives (Possibly by Cass Carr)

Fascinating study of early glamour photography/pornography. There used to exist these Camera Clubs where photographers (mostly male) could rent out professional models for the day to photograph and carouse - actually, this was actually a way to circumvent pornography laws. These are possibly the works of Cass Carr, noted Harlem amateur photographer who was arrested along with Page during a 1952 outing. There are fifteen 5.25" x 4" negatives of Bettie in a truly marvelous series that are extremely racy, yet naive. There are 20 matching prints (3 1/8" x 2 1/4") and one spectacular vintage 8" x 10". Unpublished Bettie Page from-the-camera negatives are extremely rare. Comes with publishing rights.
