Beautiful Joe Louis Oversized Photo That Hung in Gym
Beautiful vintage framed photo of Heavyweight Champ Joe Louis. The piece measures 20.75x25" in original frame and glass. Topping it off is the backing, in the form of an original boxing broadside poster, dating from 1952 in the Boston area, meaning this image likely dates from the 1940s-50s. Though we don't know which one, this did hang in a boxing gym and would be a perfect centerpiece to the lot featuring similar images of Jack Sharkey, Gene Tunney, and Jack Dempsey available elsewhere in this auction.
