A Handshake For The Century Signed Print

A Handshake For The Century Signed Print

This 18x22" print entitled "A Handshake For The Century" shows Jackie Robinson seemingly "walking on air" as he crosses home plate while simultaneously shaking George Shuba's hand after homering in his debut with the Montreal Royals on April 18, 1946. The matted and framed print is from a limited edition run of 500, taken from a picture that was in George Shuba's private collection. The print is signed in 9/10 blue Sharpie by Johnny Sain, who threw the first-ever pitch to Jackie, Johnny Knucks, who threw the last-ever pitch to Jackie, George "Shotgun" Shuba, and Jackie's wife, Rachel Robinson, who signed during the 1997 celebration of Jackie Robinson Day. This is print #31/500 and is in NRMT condition.
