1994-95 Joe Mullen Pittsburgh Penguins Game Worn Jersey, Shoulder Pads & Elbow Pads

1994-95 Joe Mullen Pittsburgh Penguins Game Worn Jersey, Shoulder Pads & Elbow Pads

One of the greatest American-born players to ever lace up skates, Joe Mullen embodied a true hockey player – grit, toughness and ability. His Hall of Fame career in its twilight, he donned this great lot in his final year with the Pittsburgh Penguins. His home (white) jersey is pounded with stick marks littered across the front included a heavy slash through the bottom of the Penguins crest. The right sleeve is covered in board burns, unrepaired holes and stick marks. The left sleeve features more of the same with heavy red board pain on the back left sleeve. The back shows several stick marks and even more red paint transfer. CCM tag in the collar with Mullen’s number “7” penned in black marker next to the size “50” fly tag. Fight strap is sewn in the back above the CCM and NHL logos embroidered on the back hem. Mullen’s Cooper shoulder pads and Jofa elbow pads are attached with skate lace as the Hall of Famer liked to put on the entire ensemble in one fell swoop. Heavily worn with sweat stains, rust on the snaps and still attached Velcro straps. A great set of this American hero!
