1974 Walt Alston Game Worn Jersey
At age 62, Alston guided his 1974 Dodgers to a seventh and final World Series. During that run, the six-time Manager of the Year, wore this gray "road" jersey. "Dodgers" crosses the chest in blue cursive style tackle twill over his red number "24", on the back his "24" appears again, though this time in blue. Puckering on all lettering and numbers and sweat toning on collar facing both indicate significant use. Tagged in the collar "W.A. Goodman & Sons [size 46" and sewn with a blue, "Set 2 '74" chain-stitched plate on the tail. He was honored as Manager of the Year six times by Associated Press Alston was the first 1970s manager inducted into the Hall of Fame
