1969-70 Boston Bruins Lamp Base and Signed and Unsigned Team Issued Photos (18)

1969-70 Boston Bruins Lamp Base and Signed and Unsigned Team Issued Photos (18)

Presented is an unusual item: a lamp base made from miniature hockey sticks. The four wooden sticks are labeled John McKenzie, Ted Green, Bobby Orr. and Derek Sanderson. On the blade of each stick is imprinted, "Stanley Cup Champion 1969-70." The lamp base is 21" tall and has a diameter of 12".There are also 18 different color 6x8" photos of the 1969-1970 Stanley Cup Champion Boston Bruins. Some people consider this team as the best hockey team of all-time. The high scoring Bruins had the NHL's points leader in Bobby Orr, who tallied 120 points, on 33 goals and 87 assists. It was the first time in history that a defenseman had scored over 100 points and Orr's 33 goals was also a record for a backliner. Phil Esposito added 99 points on 43 goals and 56 assists. The team included four Hall of Famers: Bobby Orr, Phil Esposito, Johnny Bucyk, and Gerry Cheevers. Two of the photos are unsigned: Bobby Orr and Garnet Bailey. The other 16 photos are signed, each in silver. The signed photos are: Derek Sanderson; Gerry Cheevers; Ken Hodge; John Bucyk; Don Awrey; Don Marcotte; Gary Doak; Eddie Westfall; Wayne Cashman; Wayne Carlton; Fred Stanfield; Dallas Smith; John"Pie" McKenzie; Rick Smith; Ed Johnston; and Phil Esposito. A great set of autographed photos from a legendary team.
