1967 Narragansett Beer Boston Red Sox Lightup Advertising Calendar
This is a wonderful vintage bar light in fine working order. From 1967, this Narragansett Beer "Illuminated Sports Center", measuring 3.5x12.5 x 21", promoted their sponsorship of Red Sox baseball on TV and radio. The top of the lighted sign has an 11x11" NRMT illustration of a Red Sox safely sliding into home against a Yankee catcher. The bottom has a page-a-day calendar (intact and unused) that includes the entire regular season Red Sox schedule. The sign is not perfectly clean, but close to it. The calendar pages are toned and spotty on the front page, but the interior pages are nice and white. The power cord has been repaired with electrical tape in one spot but the light works perfectly. This is a great find!
