1961 Trading & Hobby Cards Vending Machine
Extraordinary vending machine advertises “Baseball Scoops” trading cards on the front window display. Two perfect choices for the times, these precious cards feature Mickey Mantle & Roger Maris on the fronts. Headlines read: “Mickey Mantle Hits Longest Homer” and “Maris Nips Mantle for AL MVP Award”. Colorful front window display was most pleasing to the children who would beg for a nickel from their parents to get a card. Message announces, “Educational and entertaining” and “hundreds of assorted cards in this series”! Gorgeous and pristine, in EX-MT condition (practically unused)! Painted a brilliant red color, comes equipped with original key. Each of the two nickel-insert slides is engraved with “Heath Sales Co. – Macon, GA”.
