1958 Elston Howard New York Yankees World Championship Ring

1958 Elston Howard New York Yankees World Championship Ring

Rare opportunity to own a piece of perhaps the greatest dynasty in sports history. Brilliant original 1958 New York Yankees championship worn by Elston Howard, the first Black player to ever wear the famed Pinstripes. Size 9 1/2 specimen has New York Yankees World Champions on the bezel around a real diamond center stone. Both shanks bear the year above the Yanks' Top Hat logo, with "Elston Howard" engraved inside. This ring was made by Balfour but is not stamped inside, or the stamp has worn out, and it is also 14K gold and has tested as such. The unique curvature inside the band is what differentiates this from copies - this is the original, in NRMT condition. As a bonus, comes with a 1964 Topps Giant card that is signed by Howard in blue ballpoint ink. Howard played in the Negro leagues for three seasons before embarking on an MLB career that saw him earn 12 All-Star Game nods and the '58 series win was one of six he captured.
