1941 Gum Inc. War Gum R164 Complete Set (132)
This was the last great bubble gum card set issued in the US before the war effort cut off all supplies of essential materials. The set was produced by the great team of J. Warren Bowman and George Moll, who would go on to produce many of the great Bowman sets of the '50s. Condition of cards varies from VG to VG-EX (70%) to EX or better (15%), and an equal number lesser. The popular and tough-to-find card of Gen. Douglas MacArthur (#11) is present and in very clean VG-EX to EX condition. Great war-themed issue from Gum Inc., seldom seen as a complete set.
